On April 10, 2012 the life of a man named Travis Mills was immeasurably changed forever. Travis is a Staff Sergeant in the Army and is part of the legendary 82nd Airborne Division based out of Fort Bragg NC. This past February, Travis was deployed to Afghanistan for what was to be his third tour of duty there.

While on foot patrol with his men, Travis stepped on an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). The resulting explosion was devastating and left Travis severely wounded. He lost both legs at the knee, his right arm above the elbow and his left arm below the elbow. Three of Travis' men were also injured in the blast, and in the aftermath, his first thoughts were of their safety instead of his own.
